Motor Marc Lacourciere's Thunder on the Plains

Pictures of Canvas Print below

The write up that follows and the prices are both from Motor Marc's website, they are not what I am asking.

Thunder on the Plains
Its old school iron meets modern high tech as two riders gun the throttles of their raked out choppers in search of the edge of traction. A nearby heard of buffalo is startled as the roar of the engines breathing through twin straight pipes builds in intensity. With a wave of an arm the race is on! On a desolate stretch of road outside of Sturgis two men test their metal in the ultimate contest of speed, bravery and honor. Thunder on the Plains salutes the independent sprit and outlaw attitude that chopper culture exudes. All the drama and action of a high stakes street race is played out in this exciting scene. The excitement and anticipation of the starter, the steely concentration of the riders, and the uncertainty of the outcome combine to add to the atmosphere of the showdown. Set against a western themed background Thunder on the Plains incorporates elements of the old west with the modern cowboys' steed of choice, the custom chopper. Proudly displayed in the Journey Museum in Salt Lake City for the Sturgis Show, Thunder on The Plains is being well-received as an exciting portrayal of life on the edge in the world of custom motorcycles. Motor Marc has captured the essence of racing in this his latest work.

Across America

Combing through historical imagery invariably takes me on a tour of our beautiful country. Sightseeing seemed so much more intense from the back of an iron horse at a time when our country offered so much dramatic scenery on the edges of civilization.
I always find it inspiring to capture the riders’ enthusiasm as they experience the countryside for the first time.

Sorry for the flash spot in the center. The matting is gold. This is a giclee paper print.

Saved and Numbered 11/90

The Frame is Metal with a Mottled Finish baked onto the metal

What a sight! I can not tell you how many times I have looked at this picture and imagined myself standing there back then. The colors are stunning and these pictures give it no justice.
If you look closely at the edges of the picture you can see the ragged edges of the paper that have been laid on top of the matting not underneath.
